Willow

Architect: Maxa Design

Willow is about working with the land. Built on a steep, rocky site, the home responds to the landscape rather than trying to overpower it. It’s a modest footprint that proves a home doesn’t need to be big to be intentional; it just needs to fit the people who live there.

While not currently seeking Passive House certification, Willow has been approached with the same rigor and intent. The home was modelled prior to construction, with performance guiding decisions from the outset, and designed using the full Proclima system. This approach places the project firmly within PHI low-energy home territory, with the option for the clients to pursue certification in the future. At its core, Willow reflects Sanctum’s belief that high-performance building isn’t about chasing labels, but about creating calm, resilient homes that quietly support everyday life.
